2024 Ferrari Roma is Ferrari’s second front-engine V8 coupe, following the GTC4Lusso T, which is no longer being produced. It effectively utilizes an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission situated at the back and a 612 horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine. Up until its redline of 7500 rpm, its engine screams. A virtually entirely digital interface is installed in the cabin, accessible from the driver’s seat. The Roma has back seats, but they largely serve as decorative pieces rather than being used. Despite this, the inside seems quite roomy. This $250,000 Ferrari will induce butterflies in your tummy with its hundreds of prancing horses.
Ferrari introduces a new convertible Spider model along with the Roma’s cloth top. According to the automaker, the droptop only adds 185 pounds to the coupe and can be raised or lowered in 13.5 seconds at up to 37 mph. The Roma’s interior combines expensive materials with a distinctive design, stitched together with leather and covered in faux suede. A sweeping dashboard that flows into the doors and floating centre console envelops each front-seat occupant. The Roma’s flat-bottomed, button-heavy steering wheel features a massive 16-inch fully digital gauge cluster that the driver can manage with haptic inputs.
Engine & Performance
A turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 with 612-hp and 561 lb-ft of torque is positioned close to the centre of the Roma’s long hood. It is coupled with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), which first appeared on the even more luxurious Ferrari SF90 Stradale. Although we’ve had a chance to drive the Roma, we haven’t had a chance to test its performance on a track. Yet, our experience showed us that this Ferrari can be enjoyed both on a leisurely cruise and when raced around tight turns. The DCT responds quickly to requests for quick gearchanges, especially when the drive mode dial is set to Sport or Race. Its high-revving V8 produces beautiful sounds. We liked the directness and accuracy of the helm, despite how easily it turned.

The Roma is more of a grand tourer than a dedicated track star, while sporting the recognisable Prancing Horse insignia. It offers more entertainment and connectivity features to passengers as a result than some other Ferrari models. This contains a secondary screen for the front passenger as well as an 8.4-inch touchscreen that is placed vertically.

The most of the time is spent window shopping, but if we had the good fortune to possess a Roma, we would stick with the coupe and paint it Verde British green, a historically accurate hue. There are six different wheel choices, but we prefer the sleeker matte Grigio Corsa wheels with equally bold paint. There are countless interior colour options, including single-color and two-tone designs with Rosso Ferrari leather trim. There isn’t really an incorrect decision in this case, with the obvious exception of Nero black, which feels far too corporate.
