TVS Motor has unveiled the highly anticipated TVS X electric scooter in India with amazing first-in class features and promising performance. This innovative scooter, inspired by the Creon Concept, offers a range of up to 140 km on a single charge. It accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.6 seconds, goes on to reach a top speed of 105 kmph. 1. TVS X Pricing
The TVS X electric scooter is placed in a higher price bracket compared to the iQube range, with a price tag of Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This price is relatively high, primarily due to its impressive technical specifications, which regrettably make it ineligible for FAME incentives. Nevertheless, prospective buyers won’t need to exercise too much patience, as deliveries are scheduled to start in November 2023.
2. Battery, Range and Performance
The TVS X boasts a 7 kW motor, with a peak power of 11 kW, and a 3.8 kWh battery. Its riding range is an impressive 140 km on a single charge. This puts it in direct competition with other electric scooters like the Ola S1 Air, Ather 450X, and Hero’s Vida V1. Interestingly, the positioning of the battery pack and charging port in the middle affects the floorboard’s storage space. It offers 3 kW fast charging, capable of replenishing 50% battery capacity in just 30 minutes. A regular home socket takes three hours and 40 minutes to go from zero to 80%. The X accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 2.6 seconds, 0-60 kmph in 4.5 seconds, and a top speed of 105 kmph.

The electric scooter represents the production incarnation of the Creon Electric concept, originally showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo.
