Another nation that tried to make muscle cars is Germany. They made come great muscle cars and that’s a fact. Companies like Mercedes with their AMGs and BMW with their M Series made some crazy muscle cars that every piston head likes to drive. The main difference between German and American muscle cars is that German muscle cars came with luxury too and American muscle cars lack that.
Here are 8 muscle cars from Germany that are indeed better than American muscle cars.
8. Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG W204
C63 AMG was in production from 2007 till 2011. It got its power from a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 which produces 451hp and 600 Nm of torque powering its rear wheels. This engine helped this AMG to reach a top speed of 250km/h.
C63 AMG W204 was the first powerful Mercedes AMG that came with the option to turn off the traction control and ESP.
7. BMW M6 F12
This is the third-gen of the BMW 6 Series which is an F10 M5 but with 2 doors instead of four. It was fitted with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo v8 producing 550hp and 502 lb-ft, all the power going to rear wheels only. With traction control of this, this car turned into a proper hooligan.
6. Bitter SC
Now going back to 1979 when the Bitter brand launched Bitter SC. It was based on Opel Senator and its styling was a reflection of the Ferrari 365 GT4. Bitter’s engines were reliable and relatively efficient. Bitter SC got its power from a 3.9-liter inline-6 which produces 207hp.
5. Opel Lotus Carlton
Lotus Carlton is Opel Omega, they took Omega 3-liter straight-6 and modified everything of the vehicle. They added two turbochargers to the engine as a result it was enlarged to 3.6 liters and produced the power of 377hp and 419 lb-ft of torque. Carlton was every car freak’s favorite cause at that time even the police were not able to keep up with the car.
4. BMW M5 E39
Launched back in 1998, BMW finally offered a V8 engine with it which produced 400hp and 370 lb-ft of torque and was mated with a 6-speed manual. It was a driver’s delight, by going completely berserk on the road and doing crazy burnout. It was a true muscle car with one of the greatest chassis in the motor industry.
3. Mercedes -Benz CLS63 S AMG
CLS63 S AMG was a 4-door coupe model powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo M157 V8 mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, it produced a whopping 577hp and 590 lb-ft of torque channeling to all 4 wheels. It was also available in wagon design.
2. BMW M3 E92
When BMW Launched M5 with a V8, it was a huge hit so they launched M3 with a V8 too. This V8 in the M3 produced 415hp and 295 lb-ft of torque available with two gearbox options, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. All the cracks and pop sound from its V8 engine also provided practicality and an awesome driving experience.
1. Opel Omega V8
It is an awesome V8 car that was never made out of the production line. Opel was going to make a high-spec version of the Omega top variant.
