Alert! Honda Amaze Diesel Variant Discontinued

Honda Amaze To Be A Petrol Only Model

Honda Amaze is now officially delisted from Honda’s website. The compact sedan was the only diesel model in its segment which comprises of Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The Amaze was available in three diesel trims and also was the only car to offer an automatic transmission in diesel in its segment. The key reason for the dropping out Amaze’s diesel engine is the upcoming implementation of the Real Driving Emissions (RDE) norms in India from April 2023. As per the RDE regulations, upgrading diesel engines to meet the new conditions would be expensive. With this, the demand for a diesel engines in this segment is quite low.
