eC3 EV Expected To Offer 350 Km Range
Citroen is all set to release an electric version of its popular compact hatchback C3 in the Indian market. The car has been spotted testing multiple times and has been officially teased as well. The five-seater is expected to be on the sale price of around Rs. 10 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The eC3 will compete with the recently introduced Tata Tiago EV. The latest teaser showed the front end and several other commonalities of its IC-engined sibling. The exclusion of the tailpipe is evident and the charging port is to be fitted on the front fender. The front fascia shows the presence of the double chevron grille leading onto the headlamps via LED DRLs. The octagonal air intake, bumper-mounted lighting unit and faux skid plate is also, available.
The cabin is also similar to the ICE C3 except for the addition of a new drive controller. A recent spy shot of the interior of eC3 revealed that it will not include an automatic climate control system or keyless entry. However, it does seem to feature an Eco mode. The EV is expected to offer a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, a four-speaker sound system, steering wheel-mounted controls, and so on. The French carmaker intends to use LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells from Svolt Energy for the eC3. The Citroen eC3 will be equipped with a 30.2 kWh battery that powers an electric motor located on the front axle. This setup will generate around 84 bhp and 143 Nm of torque.

The car will also add a 3.3 kW onboard AC charger and is expected to offer a driving range of 350 km. You can also expect fast charging capability as well. As its main rival, the Tata Tiago EV comes with either a 19.2 kWh or a 24 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 315 km.
