Dodge has been one of the very dominant brands in the American auto world for the car enthusiasts. And had been since several decades with it’s pure American muscles, and the one car which holds onto its legacy is the new Dodge Challenger. With its base model which comes with a powerful V6 engine with standard all wheel drive, you can go upto a more powerful V8 with the R/T models not to mention it’s top of the line SRT Hellcat with it’s supercharged Hemi engine, the meanest monster of all.
But for the most average buyers the base BY will be enough to meet their demands, in terms of looks (well that thing will get you I’m sure), performance, comfort and feature rich but decent interiors. Do note that this won’t be the best at what you can buy, but will be enough if you’re looking for a great design with confident driving and loads of power that is packaged into a very great price, the 2022 Dodge Challenger would meet your deeds.
What’s New For 2022 ?
For the 2022, the new Dodge Challenger doesn’t come with any significant changes. But the R/T Scat Package will not come with a more advanced security camera which will also come with the Convenience Group Package.
Engine, Top Speed, 0-60 mph & Performance
The Challenger comes with a 3.6 Litre V6 engine which makes a good 305 hp and 268 lb ft of torque, paired with an eight speed automatic transmission which powered it’s all wheel drive. You wanted more power, well you got it, the higher the ladder you go adds a 5.7 Litre and 6.4 Litre Hemi V8 engines which makes 375 hp and 485 hp with 475 lb ft of torque.
And for what it’s worth, a growling exhaust sound with a blasting acceleration from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 176 mph. It’s quick, it’s fast and does have a jaw dropping power with an aggressive but responsive throttle response and doesn’t have to hustle when it comes to overtake the road, it’s a raging Bull in that case but isn’t very leisurely when it comes to driving and handling, it’s good but not as when it comes to the car’s in its segment. And also it’s big body has it’s ups and down but overall it gains the best parts of being an american muscle, but the even more powered SRT Hellcat, which beholds that tag the best.
Fuel Economy | Mileage
The new Dodge Challenger with it’s base V6 delivers a mileage of 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. It’s 5.7 Litre V8 delivers a mileage of 16 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway and it’s 6.4 Litre V8 delivers a mileage of 15 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway where it decreases by 1 and 3 mpg with the all wheel drive.
