Ford F-150 Lightning 2022 Price, Features, Mileage, Engine, Top Speed & 0-60 mph


The Ford F-150 Lightning 2022 shares regular F-150’s body and cabin but removes gasoline powered V6 and V8 engine options with pair of electric motors and one of two different battery packs. It expected to deliver range of 230 miles while the Extended Range Juice pack may deliver 300 miles. It’ll not the only EV truck in a market because GMC’s Hummer EV and Upstart Rivian all set to launch its vehicles.

The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is completely new model for the brand but the good thing is that it brand claims the towing capacity of 10,000 pounds.

Ford will launch F-150 Lightning with the aggressive price tag of $41,669.

It will be a good decision to invest $10,000 in Extended Range battery pack if you plan to travel more distances or use the Lightning tow.

It comes with 12.0-inch touchscreen with Sync 4 software while Lariat and Platinum models get the 15.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, in-dash navigation and Wi-Fi hotspot are standard. B&O’s optional stereo system is offered with eight speakers in Lariat while with 18 speakers in the Platinum.

It offered automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist are standard, adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode is also available as an optional.


Ford F-150 Lightning measures 232.7-inch long, 96-inch wide and has height of 78.9-inch.

Engine & Performance

All Ford F-150 Lightning models are available with two electric motors and all-wheel drivetrain as a standard. This powertrain generating 426 HP while the Extended-Range battery pack claims 563 HP with 775 pound-feet of torque. For Extended-Range battery pack the towing capacity is 10,000 pounds but for Standard-Range battery variants it is limited to 7700 pounds. The payload capacity is 1800 pounds for the Extended-Range battery pack variants and for Standard-Range battery variants it is as high as 2000 pounds.


With a standard 98.0-kWh battery it delivers the driving range of 230 miles according to Ford. But with extended 131.0-kWh battery pack it delivers driving range of 300 miles. Ford claims that it took 44 minutes to charge from 15 to 80% by a DC fast charger.
