The mid-size 2024 BMW i5 sedan, which will bridge the gap between the Award-winning i4 and the extra-premium i7 flagship, will electrify BMW’s executive express.
The i5 offers an electric vehicle (EV) option for customers considering BMW’s mid-size sedan lineup and making its debut alongside a brand-new version of the gasoline-powered 5-series.
Two i5 variants are available: the first, the 335-hp eDrive40, utilizes a single electric motor for the rear wheels.
The hotter M60 xDrive variant supplements this with a second electric motor for the front axle. Resulting in a combined 590 horsepower.
The interior of the i5 is equally as roomy and luxurious as the 5-series fueled by petrol. The battery doesn’t obstruct the interior, although the trunk is a little bit smaller than it was in the 5-series.
According to BMW, the i5 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.7 seconds with the more potent powertrain.
