2023 Cadillac XT6 is a three-row SUV from General Motors’s prestige brand. This is on the wish list of many and is the only option one has unless he possesses that Escalade money. The XT6 shares much of its underpinnings and mechanical components with the GMC Acadia, but one won’t know the difference by simply looking at it. The Cadillac sports trim has a distinct exterior and interior design that looks appropriately premium. It can be had with a choice of a turbocharged four-pot or naturally aspirated V6 engine and either front- or all-wheel drive. The Sport trim is equipped with a torque-vectoring rear differential, but even so, it fails to deliver the same level of athleticism as competitors such as the Audi Q7 and the BMW X5. The XT6 is better suited for stylish family transport instead.

What’s New?
The design is as sleek and crisp as you can imagine. The headlights are smooth and classy along with a well-sized chrome grille. The rear has the miniature Escalade taillights, and perfectly-designed vertical LEDs keeping it apart from the competition. As it sits below the Escalade, the XT6 is quite roomy inside. The front seats are comfortable, and the dashboard is finished with carbon-kevlar trim. The center houses the 8-inch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Engine & Performance
For 2023, XT6 buyers have an option to choose from either a 237-hp turbocharged 2.0-Liter four-pot or a 310-hp V6 engine. Both the engines are mated with a nine-speed automatic and can be had with either front- or all-wheel drive. Three trim levels; Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport consists of the XT6 lineup, with the first two all about more comfort and the Sport receiving performance-enhancing extras such as a torque-vectoring rear differential and retuned steering. A Platinum package gives the XT6 all the goodies. No matter the trim, the XT6 certainly looks good in the overall stance. 20-inch wheels come standard, but one can get 21-inches on the Sport model. Handling is reasonably athletic for a three-row crossover, but no one will mistake it for the agile CT5-V sedan.
Fuel Economy

The EPA rated the 2023 XT6 with the standard turbo-four to earn up to 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Trims with the V6 engine are rated up to 19 mpg city and 26 highway. The all-wheel-drive XT6 results are less rosy at 22 mpg.

The XT6 has a plethora of features and additions, this includes a Bose Performance Series 14-speaker audio system. Both the driver and front passenger get cooled and heated seats. It’s still a Cadillac. The ride experience is quite good and the suspension absorbs most jerks on the road. The XT6 has four driving modes, which toggle between FWD, AWD, snow, and sport. The transmission covers up the engine’s flaws, providing good shifts at the right times.
Pricing
2023 Cadillac XT6 Trims | Price (USD) |
Luxury | |
Premium Luxury | $54,290$49,890 |
Sport | $59,640 |
From our point of view, the Sport’s chassis upgrades don’t offer a noticeable performance improvement. So we would recommend sticking with the midrange Premium Luxury trim. To that, we’d add the Comfort and Air Quality package (heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and an air ionizer) as well as the second-row captain’s chairs, in-dash navigation, and 14-speaker Bose premium stereo system.
