All Details, Specifications & Performance of Lamborghini Urus 2023
2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante has just been unveiled and it is firmer and faster than ever. This Urus isn’t just an exotic SUV wearing that supercar badge, it’s a supercar enclosed in an SUV shell. Not only to justify its twin-turbo 4.0-Litre V8 making between 641 and 657 horsepower, but also by its mind-splattering performance on famous racetracks. To note, the new Performante broke the Pikes Peak SUV record. This newly introduced variant will reinforce the Italian Marque’s commitment that the Urus lives up to the brand’s exotic breed. This high-riding Lambo is the only thing from the brand that can pull a trailer and haul more than two. While its quarter-million-dollar price puts it way out of the league for most of us mere mortals, and its interior isn’t as special as it should be for such a huge wad of cash.
What’s New?
For the 2023 Model Year, The Urus gets a straight gain in performance with the introduction of the new Performante variant. however, it shares the powertrain with the regular version, and horsepower rises by 16 to 657-hp. The body also rides on a different suspension, one that has steel springs replacing air springs and sits 0.8 inches lower than standard. The Performante is also available with special wrapping in the form of 23-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. Sized 285/40R-22 front and 325/235R-22 rear. The company says the Performante is 104 pounds lighter than the regular Urus with the addition of carbon-fiber body panels and removal of sound-deadening materials, among others. The SUV also has a different center differential that sends more torque rearward than normal.
Engine & Performance
The 2023 Urus Performante now pumps out 657 horsepower, an increase of 16 ponies from the regular 641-hp Urus. While both variants produce the same 627 pound-feet of torque. All that power is summoned from a twin-turbocharged 4.0-Liter V8. Neglecting the output, the engine growls deeply when idling, and scarily roars under full throttle. For that fantastic acceleration, the permanent all-wheel drive mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission conspires together. When tested, the Urus rocketed from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds and tore up the quarter-mile in 11.3 seconds at 121 mph. Similarly, Lamborghini estimates the top speed at 190 mph. The ride height gets adjusted via air springs at all four corners, based on its various drive modes. While the racier Urus Performante is available with 23-inch wheels and super-sticky Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. Now a new Rally drive mode is introduced, that’s intended for unpaved surfaces.

Lamborghini Urus Performante | 11 mpg | 16 mpg |
The wealthy enough cruising around or racing a Urus likely don’t care about fuel economy, but Lamborghini’s thickest model sure likes to drink. The EPA estimates that the 641-hp Urus will deliver 12 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway. While the Performante will deliver around 11/16 mpg in the city/highway.

Every Urus houses the latest connectivity and infotainment features. Along with a fully digital gauge cluster, there are two touchscreens integrated into the center stack. This includes controls for the climate system, audio, and more. The screens have crisp graphics and great resolution, but they’re not as intuitive as traditional knobs and buttons. There is plenty of faux-suede and carbon-fiber trim all around. The back seat has good passenger space and can fit between two and three people depending on which seating configuration is selected.
Pricing
2023 Lamborghini Urus Pricing | Price (USD) |
Base | $230,000 (est) |
Performante | $264,671 |
You could save about $35k by opting for the standard-issue Urus, but that would mean you’d also miss out on its maximum performance too. That’s why we would recommend the new 2023 Performante, which features slightly more ponies, and a lower ride height with firmer steel springs. It would be great if you opt for the larger 23-inch wheels, too, with the racetrack-ready Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R rubber.
