Overview
2023 Lexus RX luxury crossover got a full makeover in its fifth generation. This car is a proof that the Japanese are doubling on hybrid power. This crossover has three hybrid powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid option and for the first time, an F-Sport Performance variant which is also electrified. The base model no longer supports V6-power but ranked up to a 2.4L turbocharged inline-four.
What’s New?
The Lexus RX sports the RX in silhouette and glasshouse, changing up the Lexus’ spindle grille. The body rides on a 2.36-inch longer wheelbase than the last-gen RX. The new RX now comes with a new 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s also in the NX. The Lexus signature grille has shrunk in square feet, fading into the bumper. The redesigned headlights lost some of Lexus’ fluidity, for a more generic appearance. The stance can sit on optional 21-inch wheels.

Interior options now include six different colors for upholstery, and four trim options are available including bamboo, open-pore wood, and aluminum finishes. The new platform and longer wheelbase enhances rear legroom, and a lower loading lip in the boot improves load-ability. All the changes to the new Lexus RX are pretty decent as the RX has been the bestseller of the Lexus range.
