2023 Toyota Tundra: The Mid-Range Enchanting Pickup Truck.

The Tundra same model being sold for over a decade needed to be changed soon. The company came forward with a completely evolved Tundra in 2022. Furthermore, the pickup has been redesigned and improved for 2023. A twin-turbocharged V-6 powers the standard model which makes around 260 HP. The hybrid model is capable of making 437 horsepower with 583 pound-feet of torque. The engine of the pickup comes paired with the 10-speed-automatic transmission with standard rear-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. The striking feature of the Tundra is the 14-inch wide Infotainment system. The infotainment system is not the only striking feature, here the 12,000-pound towing capacity comes to play. It’s still less than the RAM 1500 or the F-150, yet it’s impressive.

What’s new?

The pickup comes into the 2023 market with an all-new improved rear-coil suspension. The pickup provides you with great comfort on rough terrain. Most of the changes are in the visuals of the car. From the exterior paint job to interior trim, everything has been updated and multiple colour options are added to the existing ones.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

Toyota took a gamble by bringing the Tundra with a V6 rather than its competitors with V8s. The Tahoe lacks in terms of performance as it delivers 348 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque with its standard trim. The hybrid model brings 437 horses and 583 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid model of the Tundra is capable of reaching the 60 mph mark in a little over 5.7 seconds. In addition the updated rear suspension improves the handling of the car and even improves the comfort for passengers. Those seeking maximum off-road capabilities will want the TRD Pro, which features a lifted suspension and exclusive dampers as well as a special set of black 18-inch wheels mounted on all-terrain tires.

Towing and Payload Capacity

As compared to the F150, the Tundra lags in terms of towing capacity. This pickup is capable of pulling up to 12000 pounds which is 3000 less than the F150. The Tundra also has a maximum payload capacity of 1940 pounds which is still less than many other pickup trucks.

Fuel Economy and Mileage

The rear-wheel drive tundra gives a mileage of 20 mpg in the city whereas 24mpg on a highway. The hybrid model also shows similar values in testing.
