The new HUMMER is worlds apart from the older one. GMC has managed to put in a tonne of features and creature comforts for everyday usability and practicality. It also has some insane features, like Crab-Crawl,” which is just insane and incredible. The car has all-wheel steering, and the Crab Crawl mode uses that to move the car sideways. Yes, that’s right, the car can literally move sideways, making it extremely capable off-road and helping it get out of sticky situations with ease. The first edition gets adaptive air suspension, which makes it very compliant on and off-road. The cabin is brilliant and looks very futuristic.

The humongous battery pack of 212 kWh means tonnes of range. But Hummer goes 530 km on a single charge, considering the weight of the tank and the 35-inch off-road tyres. It is still impressive considering the mass of the vehicle and those huge knobby tyres, but this range makes it very similar to its gas-guzzling predecessor, the Hummer H1. The only difference is that it won’t cost you a fortune to run this vehicle. But you will want a fast DC charger to recharge your tank quickly, considering the size of the battery pack.

At $106,645 starting, the HUMMER is priced very competitively. The Hummer EV is great value for money considering the mind-boggling performance and incredible features. The price may go up after adding some options to the list, but it is still completely relevant at this price point. The Rivian and Tesla might be the key EVs this monster is aimed at, and it offers a strong proposition.

GMC’s all-new HUMMER EV is a mind-blowing package. It has great performance combined with comfortable seats and lots of practicality, like a load bed and a front trunk.
