Kia Is All Set To Launch Two New SUVs and Two MPV
With the success of Kia cars in India, The Korean manufacturer is all set to launch more models in the country. Kia unveiled some beautiful and high tech cars at the Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. Where they showcase the most insane concept EV9 along with other beautiful models like KA4 Premium RV. Also the Korean manufacturer announced the an investment of Rs. 2000 Crore in the country for EV related research and development, manufacturing and infrastructure developments. They have also focus toward making Purpose-Built Vehicle PBVs by debuting Ambulance and Police Van based on the MPV Carens at its pavilion.
The concept EV9 will launch as a seven seater SUV in the coming time in global market. This EV9 will be based on the same E-GMP dedicated skateboard architecture as the EV6, Ionic 6 and Ionic 5 have. As per some previous reports the Kia will bring its compact SUV as names AY to India. This compact SUV will be different from current going Sonet and Seltos. It is expected that the new compact SUV will get the price above Sonet which can be Rs 12-24 Lakh rupee and will be available in multiple engine options.
The upcoming SUV will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Mahindra but the KIA will not be available in four wheel drive options as the Thar and Jimny do. There is a strong possibility that the new AY SUV will get the design inspiration from the globally sold Niro. The petrol engine could feature a 1.0-liters turbocharge inline three cylinder engine which will be available in both manual and automatic transmission. Also the facelift version of Kia Seltos is on its way to launch in the country very soon.
