What’s New?
The BMW XM will be an all-new model for the company’s flagship lineup of SUVs for 2023. With its futuristic design and a thrilling performance underneath its engine, the new XM is all set to head production at the end of 2022. The car will be out at your nearest dealership at the beginning of 2023.
Powertrain Specifications & Performance
Under the hood of the new XM lies a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine combined with a plug-in hybrid system that produces an insane 644 horsepower. The company stated that a new 750-hp model will also join the lineup later. Thanks to its incredible power delivery and instant throttle response via the hybrid system, the car earns an acceleration time of just 3.2 seconds. BMW had put their best design language and decades of experience in driving performance, the XM would happily rival the Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne. According to the testing done by CarandDriver, the car performed surprisingly well with its responsive handling and eagerness to show off its capabilities. Due to the XM’s coil-spring suspension system, and adaptive damper with anti-roll bars, the XM impressed with its high-riding body and maximum cornering grip.
Battery: Range & Charging
BMW hasn’t revealed any official figures about the battery size and the charging time. But claimed that the battery will provide a run of 30 miles on a single charge. As BMW’s history in plug-in hybrid tech, the new XM will support fast charging tech.
Dimensions, Space & Airbags
The official specs and the dimensions of the new BMW XM are unknown to us. But judging by its long sloping roof and a fastback design, we can be affirmative that the car will be long. Long enough to sport 5 people fit easily inside the car. Being BMW’s flagship SUV, the XM’s cabin would be quite spacious and will offer plenty of luxury elements and safety features.
