JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market. Meaning cars that are only sold in Japan. Over time, though, the term’s meaning has expanded to include Japanese-made cars exported to other countries. A Japanese Domestic Market car is one built for and originally delivered new in Japan, and then subsequently exported as a used vehicle to another country. Japan has provided the world with great cars. Cars that every other person in their 20s might want to drive. Since these cars are exported from Japan, they are priced highly. But there are some 90s JDM’s that you can buy in 2022 with a small budget. Lets have a look at them.

1. 1999 Mazda MX-5 ($8,995)
This 1989 built 2 seater covertible is small and has near perfect handelling due to its balanced weight distribution. This JDM has a 1.8 L engine paired with either a five speed manual or six speed automatic transmission. This car generates 130 HP and a nearly equal torque.
2. 1993 Suzuki Cappucino ($6,909)
This another JDM is a two seater converible. Built between 1991 to 1998 has a 657 cc F6A DOHC turbo I3. It generates a nice 70 HP and has a top speed of 85 mph. The Cappucino is easily modified and could perform better. It also has a speed-sensing electric power steering, 4-wheel disc brakes, and a double-wishbone suspension. The car has a mere price tag of nearly $7,000.

3. 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse (3,995)
This Mitsubishi is a 2 door sporty-looking car. The top-of-the-line model has a 210 HP generating engine which is turbocharged. The base model has a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine which only has a front-wheel drive. A little modification could really fly around like a plane. The car current comes with the price band of $3,000 to $5,000.
4. 1990 Toyota Cressida ($4,999)
This JDM does look like a 1990 car used by people to go to offices. With a few investments on the car, it could really fly on streets. The car has great potential for modification. The base model has an inline six engine which a Cressida owner rarely uses in his car. The car currently has comes with a price of $5,000.

5. 1999 Acura Integra (3,995)
Acura Integra is one of the most appreciated ’90s JDM. It does not only looks good but also has a great handelling and a stable core. A properly tuned Acura Integra could easily defeat a Nissan GTR. This car has the most demand for the low end price range.
