Overview
The 2022 Ford Edge is medium sized SUV with two row seating offers spacious cabin than its rivals and comfortable ride quality with standard techy features. But the thing is that the material quality inside the cabin is feels little bit low and looks dated as well. It comes with two engine options either turbocharged four-cylinder or 335 HP twin-turbo V6. It will compete against the core rivals such as Chevy Blazer, Honda Passport, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Hyundai Santa Fe and Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport.
What’s New For 2022 ?
In 2022, the base variant SE has the option for Black Appearance package which consists 19-inch black wheels and black colord exterior accents. Moving forward the SEL variant will get the optional Adventure package which includes 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, faux leather upholstery, grey and black exterior accents. Two new paints are available such as Flight Blue and Forged Green.

The features offered are leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto dimming rearview mirror, partially digital gauge display, 9-speaker stereo system, heated front seats, six-way power adjustable passenger seat, LED fog lamps and 12.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It scored 5-star safety rating according NHTSA. Automated emergency braking and lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist is available as a standard. Adaptive cruise control is offered optionally.

Engine, Top Speed, 0-60 mph & Performance
The regular turbocharged four-cylinder engine burns out 250 HP and most of the buyers will opt for this engine option. The more powerful 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 engine making 335 HP mated to 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drivetrain is available as a standard. It can able to sprint 0 to 60 MPH in just 6.1 seconds and have a top speed of 130mph. The Edge is quite smooth to drive and provide better stability while cornering due its perfectly weighted steering. The ride is comfortable on uneven road surfaces because of perfectly balanced suspension setup.
Fuel Economy & Mileage
According to EPA, the four-cylinder version manages to deliver 29 mpg on highway. Heading towards the ST model, it delivers 25 mpg on highway.
