Overview
The 2022 Ford GT is an almost perfect racing car with modern tech and legendary retro styling. It has the on track as well as off-track capabilities. This supercar has the 3.5-litre V6 engine which makes breathtaking 660 HP and makes loud noise. It has perfect on track enigma but it can’t be comparable with the performance figures of McLaren and Ferrari.
What’s new?
For 2022, Ford revealed the GT’64 Prototype Heritage Edition which consists Wimbledon White paint with carbon-fiber seats and microsuede dashboard, 20-inch wheels and black steering wheel.

Pricing and features
As Ford hasn’t announced GT’s official pricing but we’d guess that it will starts from $500,000 USD.
There is a 6.5-inch infotainment system with in-built navigation. It doesn’t even have the modern driver assistance features and never ever get crash-tested by any agency as it’s a high-performance supercar.

Powertrain
Ford discontinued the previous generation’s supercharged V8 engine and now GT is powered by the same Ford F-150 Raptor’s engine which is 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 burns out 660 HP and 550 pound-feet of peak torque and paired with 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) and offered with only rear-wheel drivetrain. It will hit 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.0 seconds and has top speed of 216 MPH with its 355.4 W/kg power to weight ratio. It steering feedback is exemplary on track all thanks to its electro-hydraulic assist steering. GT’s handling is well composed on track as well as roads due to its all-four-wheel independent suspension setup.

Fuel efficiency
According to EPA, the 2022 Ford GT will deliver 12 mpg in city while 18 mpg on the highway which is excellent according to its segment.
