The EQE 500 SUV interior boasts the brand’s impressive 56-inch Hyperscreen unit as standard. This features three seamlessly connected screens on the dashboard encased in robust tempered glass. These screens serve both information display, and entertainment purposes, including the passenger display and central infotainment unit. The EQE comes with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a premium 15-speaker Burmester sound system. It also has a cabin-wide high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter for improved air quality.

Battery, Range and Performance

The Mercedes EQE 500 SUV boasts an impressive array of performance features. It comes standard with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configuration and an off-road package, providing exceptional versatility. Powering the SUV is a robust 90.56kWh battery, which can handle up to 170kW of DC fast charging, delivering a substantial claimed WLTP range of 550km. This formidable electric powertrain generates 408hp and a robust 858Nm of torque. This propels the EQE 500 from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.9 seconds and achieving a top speed of 210 km/h. Additionally, the SUV offers three levels of regeneration, easily adjustable via paddle shifters, enhancing its overall efficiency and performance.

Pricing

The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV enters the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). While it commands a slightly higher price, it’s important to note that the EQE will be offered in India as a completely built unit (CBU). It competes with other luxury electric SUVs in the Indian market, including the newly launched Audi Q8 e-tron (Rs 1.14 crore-1.26 crore), the BMW iX (Rs 1.21 crore), and the Jaguar I-Pace (Rs 1.20 crore). This positions the EQE as a compelling option in the luxury electric SUV segment.
