While the internet which has already been buzzing after the new XUV700 after it got
launched, several photos have came across the social media about the new next generation Mahindra Scorpio being seen in testing in disguise on the Indian roads these days. And now we have a clearer visual of what this future Scorpio might look like via the community member Parth Killedar who spotted one and snapped some first photos news Chandannagar near Ahmednagar Highway Maharashtra. (Post this if needed that is why I had put it aside) From a design perspective this new gen Mahindra Scorpio will bring a very fresh and new design overhaul compared to the previous gen Scorpio. Conceptualized and designed in the Mahindra’s North American Centre in Detroit.
And will be engineered at the Mahindra Valley, Chennai. It will come with all new front grill just like you’ve seen on the Mahindra XUV700 earlier, all new exteriors with less boxier looks than the last gen, with slightly more curves many other things to fit the pedestrian standards. Will come with mostly the same specs interiors as the XUV700 with a Sunroof, New seats and instrument cluster, dual zone climate control AC, good stereo system, lots and lots of knee room and leg room in terms of space, a full touch screen infotainment system (in the higher spec models)
The new gen Scorpio will be powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engine which will deliver 150hp with 320 Nm of torque and 155hp with 360 Nm of torque simultaneously and will be offered with an optional AWD (all wheel drive package) with a 6 speed manual and 6 speed torque converter automatic transmission onboard. The launch of the this next gen SUV is expected in the early 2022, and just like how Mahindra had priced the XUV700 which was insanely agressive it is expected that they will price this SUV aggressively too. The expected price of this car is supposed to be 11.99 Lakhs for the starting trim model and up till 18.00 lakhs for the higher trims.
