The TVS X boasts an impressive array of features that set it apart in the e-scooter segment. Its standout qualities include a remarkable 10.25-inch TFT console with customizable UI. This offers wellness tracking, gaming, live video streaming, and even cruise control. It gets NavPro navigation for comprehensive guidance and Smart Xhield, which provides alerts for crashes, overspeeding, theft, and geofencing. LED illumination, smartphone connectivity via TVS SmartXonnect, three ride modes, OTA updates, and cruise control add to the scooter’s extensive feature list, making it a cutting-edge choice for modern riders.

TVS X Electric Scooter Design

The TVS X E-Scooter marks a significant stride for TVS in the e-vehicle realm, following its predecessor’s debut. The TVS X, based on the XLETON platform, derives its roots from the Creon concept unveiled a few years ago. Crafted from aluminum alloy, the X’s Xleton frame offers both strength and agility. Its youthful and sporty design is highlighted by sharp panels, cuts, and creases, giving it a dynamic appearance that reflects its performance-oriented nature.

Battery, Range and Performance

The TVS X boasts a 7kW motor capable of producing 11kW at its peak and 40Nm of torque. This results in impressive performance, with a top speed of 105kmph and a rapid 0-40kmph acceleration in just 2.6 seconds. Its power comes from a 4.44kWh battery pack, delivering a substantial range of 140km under Indian Driving Conditions (IDC). Charging is convenient, taking only 1 hour to reach 50% capacity with a 3kW fixed charger and 3 hours & 40 minutes to charge up to 80% using a 950W portable charger.

Pricing

The TVS X electric scooter comes in a single variant with a price tag of Rs 2,49,990 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). While it doesn’t qualify for the FAME 2 subsidy due to its price exceeding Rs 1.5 lakh, state subsidies may apply depending on the region. Notably, this makes the TVS X the most expensive electric scooter available in India. Its cost of over Rs 1.5 lakh excludes it from the government’s FAME incentive program.

TVS’ Future Plans

TVS Motors, a rapidly rising name in India’s electric scooter market, is set to unveil a new product next month, potentially the TVS IQube ST, an advanced version of the IQube Series. Beyond this, the company has ambitious plans to diversify its electric vehicle portfolio over the next 18 months, encompassing electric three-wheel cargo vehicles, fresh iterations of existing models, and more. This strategic move positions TVS as a key player in India’s growing electric mobility sector.
