Richard Mark Hammond who was born on 19 December 1969 in Solihull, Warwickshire, England is a journalist, television presenter, mechanic, and writer. From the age of 3 to 7, he attended Blossomfield Infant School in Solihull’s Sharmans Cross district and he graduated from Harrogate College of Art and Technology. Richard Hammond’s first job was shoveling grit into a water filtration plant.
Richard Hammond auditioned for Top Gear and became a presenter on Top Gear in 2002. He became the first presenter of Brainiac: Science Abuse in 2003 and he did that for four seasons. Richard Hammond’s Jungle Quest a two-part documentary was made and presented by him for sky 1 in 2015. He also starred in MythBusters a six-video series for Amazon. He has had many crashes and injuries while filming in his career but that didn’t stop him from doing his job. Hammond has also written a few books related to cars which are pretty awesome to read.
