Tata Altroz CNG and Punch CNG Will Go On Sale Very Soon
The all new Tata Altroz CNG and Punch CNG will go on sale by the end of this year in India. Both of the cars will get the India’s first twin cylinder technology. Tata Motors display both Punch and Altroz CNG at the Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. The manufacturer currently have the CNG iterations of Tiago, Tigor and Tiago NRG on sale and the CNG lineup of Tata Motors will expand with the addition of Altroz and Punch.
Both of the vehicle will use the similar 1.2-liters three cylinder petrol engine which makes an power output of 86 Horsepower and 113 NM of peak torque, and on CNG mode it will develop 77 Horsepower and 97 NM of peak Torque. The 1.2-liter engine will further connected with a five speed manual transmission system. There is a strong possibility that the Altroz CNG and Punch CNG can be start in CNG mode directly.
In all of the CNG cars we need to sacrifice something while getting some things like mileage and low coast to drive and the sacrifice we need to face is lower boot space. But for the first time in India Tata Motors comes with a dual cylinder or twin cylinder technology where a 60 liters of tank is divide into two units and arranged in an inline fashion which helps to keep the boot space same as the regular petrol or diesel variant of Punch and Altroz. Thus there is no need to sacrifice the trunk space. This can be the big reason to give more attention toward both of the cars as compare to any other.
Both of the cylinders keep under the floor of the boot. The exterior design as well as the interior is same as regular variants except the I-CNG badge on the bootlid. No big changes have been made to both vehicle from in and out. After launch of Altroz CNG it will compete with Baleno CNG and Glanza CNG. The Altroz will get some useful features like rear A/C vents, front center armrest, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver seats, engine start stop button, leather seat upholstery and a touch screen infotainment system with can connect with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay which is equally important.
