Hyundai Is All Set With Its Upgraded Diesel Engine Which Will Meet RDE Norms Effect From April 2023; Continue With Alcazar, Creta, Verna & Venue
Hyundai Motor India Limited is all set for 2023 Auto Expo with some new facelift and brand new vehicle. This time Hyundai will release a concept small SUV which is going to compete with Tata Punch also a new affordable electric vehicle that will come in 2024. Another big thing coming in Expo this time by second largest manufacturer in the country is the new generation Hyundai Verna and facelift Creta. Both of the vehicle are on high demand in India and Korean brand is going to upgrade them on the next level. All of the brand new vehicles are going to reveal in the biggest motoring show this January 2023.
Hyundai will continue with its 1.5-liters diesel powertrain in Venue, Verna, Creta and Alcazar. However no official confirmation has been made yet by government for RDE (Real Driving Emission) applying this April 2023. Lots of manufacturers stop their diesel engines before the arrival of BS6 emission standards 2020. But some keep on making with some upgrades to the engines. RDE is not a good news for the makers who still employ diesel powertrain under the vehicle price range under Rs 20 Lakhs.

Brands like Honda give-up on making diesel engine cars due to the high cost on manufacturing cars and day to day increasing price of diesel and petrol didn’t left any much difference. The Honda City and Amaze are not going to get 1.5-liter Diesel engine anymore, same as Hyundai is not continuing its diesel variant in i20.
Where Hyundai is still continue with its 1.5-liters Inline Four-Cylinder CRDI Diesel engine in New Generation Verna, Venue, Creta and Alcazar. Which generates a power output of 115 PS of Horsepower and 250 NM of Torque.
