Japan is a place of wonderful automobile manufacturers and their vehicles. They have been building outstanding cars for many years now and Japan began expanding their production in the 1990s. There are quite a lot of impressive vehicles that are being exported from Japan to the United States. And a few vehicles are kept within the country limited to the domestic market. Here are a few such Japanese Domestic Market cars that can be imported to the United States.

1. Honda Civic Type-R (EK9)

This vehicle holds a 1.6-liter turbocharged flat 4-cylinder engine that is capable of delivering a maximum power output of 182 hp at 8,200 rpm and 160 N⋅m at 7,500 rpm. This vehicle can rev from 0-60 mph in 6.7 sec and can cover a 1/4 mile distance in 15.3 sec. The vehicle’s top speed is 140 mph.

2. Toyota Century II (G50)

This 1967 vehicle has a 5.0-liter 1GZ-FE V12 engine that is capable of generating a power output of 275hp at 5200 rpm and 481 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The company stopped its production in 2016. The vehicle has a maximum speed of 130.49 mph.

The company stopped the car’s production in 2002. Eight generations were produced for Nissan Laurel. And this is the last generation of it.

5. Mitsubishi FTO

This vehicle came into production in 1994 and ended in 2000. This is a compact sports car with 98.4 in wheelbase and a curb weight of 2,425–2,668 lb. This vehicle has three different engines. 1.8L flat-four cylinder ,and two different 2.0L V6 engines. The transmission is a 5-speed manual, or 5-speed automatic, or 4-speed automatic.

6. Toyota Celica SS III
