Overview
The 2022 Toyota Tundra ready to challenge the full-sized pick-up truck market. It is now available with bigger 6.5-foot bed and quite better interior than before. It comes with more refined twin-turbo V6 engine and V8 option isn’t offered which is available even in half-ton pick-up trucks. But it has the coil spring rear suspension unlike the leaf spring which is offered by them. The V6 engine also available with optional hybrid system which is like cherry on cake for 437 HP and 583 pound-feet of torque.

What’s New For 2022 ?
The top end Capstone variant includes flashy chrome and 22-inch wheels. It will reach to the dealerships in upcoming winter.

The features offered are 8.0-inch and optional 14.0-inch horizontal touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and subscription based Wi-Fi hotspot. The TRD Off-Road package offers upgraded suspensions, unique wheels, electronically locking rear differential and much more.
The standard safety features include lane departure warning with lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning with automated emergency braking.

Engine, Top Speed, 0-60 mph & Performance
The 2022 Toyota Tundra is powered by 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine generating 348 HP and 405 pound-feet of torque for the base SR variant while for other non-hybrid variants it makes 389 HP and 479 pound-feet of torque mated to 10-speed automatic transmission. In hybrid system, the engine is assisted by an electric motor to produce 437 HP and 583 pound-feet of torque and it drives on fully electric at low speeds. It is an only full-sized pick-up truck which doesn’t offers V8 engine option. It is available with TRD Sport and TRD Pro packages. If you want to do hardcore off-roading then opt a TRD Pro package which includes 18.0-inch all terrain black tires, lifted suspension setup and dampers. Tundra has 12000 pounds of towing capacity and 1940 pounds of payload capacity. Tundra 2022 can go from 0-60 mph in just 6.4 seconds and have a top speed of 106 mph.

Fuel Efficiency | Mileage
According to EPA, the Toyota Tundra V6 with rear-wheel drive delivers 18 mpg in city and 24 mpg on highway while the four-wheel drive variant delivers 17 mpg in city and 23 mpg on highway. We’ll update the ratings for Hybrid versions later.
