ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
Lexus designed IS 500 last year and now they turn it to the performance version by taking this amazing design and completely rethinking inside. This is the first lexus to be in the F-Sport performance line. The IS 500 is powered by 5.0L Naturally Aspirated V8 engine which is connected to the same Eight-Speed Sport Direct Automatic transmission which was previously used in IS 300 and IS 350 Rear Wheel Drive versions. This powerful engine can produces upto 472 Horsepower and 536 NM of Torque (395 Lb-Ft) which is really amazing for a four door sedan. If we talk about the performance of this beautiful IS 500, it can goes upto 270 KMPH (168 mph) and 0-60 mph within 4.5 seconds which is truly insane for a 1765 kg weight sedan.
DESIGN AND STYLE
The new 2022 Lexus IS 500 F-Sport Performance is really amazing at design. In this F-Sport line Lexus take the same design from previous IS and give a little touchup which convert this normal sedan to Performance Sedan. If we talk about front then Lexus put a really amazing Raised Hood which gives it muscular look. Lexus put Dark Chrome Window Trim which gives it a decent shape. At the back end IS 500 gets Quad Exhaust System along with unique F-Sport Performance badging. With 19-inch Enkei wheels this sedan looks Superfast.
TOPSPEED AND MILEAGE
Lexus worked a lot with the Performance of the 2022 Lexus IS 500 F-Sport Performance. The 5.0L Naturally Aspirated V8 Rear wheel drive engine can lift this sedan upto 270 KMPH/168 mph and 0-60 mph within 4.5 seconds. They also worked on the mileage of IS 500 and expected to get 24-mpg on highway (10.4 KMPL) let’s see what we’ll get in real life once they launch officially.

Lexus working a lot with the safety features and take this beautiful sedan to Additional Lexus Safety System+ In which IS 500 gets DRCC system which is All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, this DRCC can be activated at the 30mph speed and control Vehicle to Vehicle stability with smooth overtaking from slow vehicle. When driver engages the turn signal the vehicle put some instant acceleration and overtake the slow car and after overtake it gets back to the same position.
It gets more features like PCS – Pre-Collision System, FCW – Frontal Collision Warning, AEB – Automatic Emergency Breaking, ESA – Emergency Steering Assist, Pedestrian Detection, Bicycle Detection, LTA – Lane Tracking Alert and LAD w/SA – Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist.
IS 500 gets full touch screen infotainment system with Android and Apple connectivity with wireless smartphone charging and Steering control.
