In production since 2018, Audi Q8 is a mid-size crossover SUV known for its performance and luxury. This vehicle was launched as a competitor for the BMW X6, and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe. Marc Lichte and Will designed this vehicle to get a new look with a large octagonal shape grill and the character lines inspired by the Audi Quattro from the 1980s. The first concept vehicle unveiled in 2017 has a 3.0 TFSI engine making 328 hp and 368.8 lb-ft of torque, an electric motor rated 134 hp and 243.4 lb-ft, and a 17.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. While the sport model has a 3.0 TFSI engine making 345 hp, an electric motor that delivers 27 hp and 125.4 lb-ft of torque. It gives a combined power output of 469 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. This vehicle won Auto Zeitung’s Auto Trophy 2020 award as a Luxury SUV.
What’s New In 2023 Audi Q8?
The new 2023 Audi Q8 gets matrix LED headlights, headlight washers, as well as illumination animation on approach or departure. The base trim, Premium, can have a Convenience package which includes adaptive cruise control with lane-keep assist. The Premium trims will get leatherette to the dashboard while the Premium Plus gets the same for armrests and center console as well, with the new interior packages. 2023 Auid Q8 equips a 3.0 L turbocharged V6 engine making a power output of 335 hp and a torque of 369 lb-ft. The standard eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive make the vehicle to reach a top speed of 130 mph. This vehicle handles good on the twisty roads and corners. The acceleration feels hesitant but with the Dynamic mode it has quick response. With the standard 21-inch wheels the vehicle can roll over the little obstacles without any issues and maintains the drive quality. Speaking about the brakes, they feels quiet inconsistent in the traffic but performs well at highway speeds.
