What’s New
The BMW 2-series was fully redesigned last year, so there are only minor changes for the 2023 model year. BMW adds a new curved gauge cluster display as standard equipment and removes Satin Aluminum exterior and Black High Gloss interior trim options from its build sheet.
Engine, Power, Top Speed, 0-60 Mph
The 230i features a 255-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and the M240i has a 382-hp turbo 3.0-liter inline-six. The 230i and M240i are both offered with rear- and all-wheel drive. An eight-speed automatic is the only transmission choice.
230i is caught off with the 0-60 mph mark in 5.1 seconds whereas its elder sibling, the M240i had done the same in a 3.6 seconds! Told you not to expect this to be slow.
The rear-drive, four-cylinder 230i is rated at 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel-drive, six-cylinder M240i is rated at 23 mpg city and 32 highway.

Pricing
With only 2 options, getting one mustn’t be difficult. If one’s looking to just experience the BMW for as a new experience, the 230i for $38,395 is what they should have but if you want something faster and badder, M240i is the one for $48,895.
