What’s New
BMW has redesigned the X1 SUV for 2023. A more powerful four-cylinder engine resides behind a bolder dual-kidney grille. Its larger exterior dimensions promise slightly more interior space for passengers and cargo than the previous generation offered.
Engine, Mileage, Top Speed, 0-60 mph
The 2023 X1 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, that boasts 241 horsepower, a slight upgrade from the previous generations. All-wheel drive is standard this time around and the X1 also receives a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Accused to hit the 0-60 mph mark in 6.2 seconds, who says bigger is not faster.
The EPA hasn’t released fuel economy estimates for the 2023 X1 yet, but we expect it will deliver similar ratings to the 2022 model. That would mean around 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway.
Pricing
This time around there’s only one trim to choose from, and it comes with standard all-wheel drive, the xDrive28i for $39,595.
