2023 BMW X2 is just a shell to nothing more than a previous-gen BMW X1 SUV, but the 2023 X2 has a style of its own. The X2’s interior is less feasible than the X1’s, but rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLB-class and the Volvo XC40 offer more space for both passengers and cargo. All X2 models house a turbocharged four-cylinder producing 228 horsepower, which is more than enough to push it from 0 to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds. The Handling is agile and the attitude is kind which looks like it is tailor-made for driving enthusiasts. What difference between this and X1, you ask? Well, this one doesn’t miss out on a few technicalities to be enjoyed by the ones inside this modern-day chariot, surely makes you feel like a king.

What’s New In 2023 BMW X2?
The brand has now introduced the Goldplay appearance package Edition on the sDrive28i and the xDrive28i models for 2023. The special-edition trim also features the M Sport package, which adds a sport-tuned suspension and lower ride height as well. Also, a retuned steering system, but the huge difference lies in exterior styling. With more aggressive front-end designs and gold exterior trim accents, GoldPlay models are distinguished from regular X2s. The GoldPlay Edition is available with one’s choice of Alpine White, San Remo Green, Storm Bay, Black Sapphire, or Skyscraper Grey paint. Also, the X2’s M Sport package houses a new 19-inch wheel design, whereas heated front seats and heated steering wheel are standalone options.
2023 BMW X2 Engine & Performance
The BMW X2 sports a turbocharged four-cylinder pumping out 228-hp, mated exclusively with an eight-speed automatic. FWD is standard and the brand calls this model the sDrive28i. If one wants AWD, then they will need to stick out an additional $2000 more for the xDrive28i, powered by the same turbo. The engine is responsive and peppy: hungry for rev, smooth, and gutsy enough. During the test, the X2 xDrive28i decently took 6.4-seconds to run from 0-60 mph. Just, Just 0.1 second slower than the Volvo XC40 T5. The X2 feels stiff during the ride, especially when equipped with the optional sports suspension. When gone off-road, passengers will feel every jerk in their seats. But, here the trade-off is an excellent level of agility.
Fuel Economy of 2023 BMW X2
