2023 BMW X1 All Price, Top Speed, 0-60 Mph & Specifications

2023 BMW X1 is the brand’s entry-level SUV, and it has a huge fan following all thanks to its excellent handling, quick response nature, and feasible shape. The 2023 model year has been revamped completely which looks to be a great comprehensive upgrade over last year’s model. The main improvements are in the chassis, powertrain, and interior. Also, a new 241-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine lies under the hood which is paired with standard AWD and a seven-speed automatic. Unlike its main competitor, the Mercedes-Benz GLB-class, the Beemer remains a two-row, but its extra large exterior dimensions translate to extra space inside the cabin. The interior is updated with a more modern design and the latest features, which include BMW’s iDrive 8 infotainment setup. The 2023 X1 will hit dealers by the end of 2022.

What’s New In 2023 BMW X1?

The redesigned X1 SUV packs a more powerful four-cylinder engine which lies behind a bolder dual-kidney grille. The 2023 model is slightly taller, longer, and wider than the current X1, so expect only minor changes in passenger space as the current model is already roomy. The interior design is more modern with upgrades like a toggle-switch shift lever, an all-digital dashboard, a floating center console, and designer elements such as textured speaker grilles. All models have dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient interior lighting, and a power liftgate as standard. The panoramic sunroof is in the optional Convenience package while a heated steering wheel and heated front seats are standalone options. Finally, the latest iDrive 8 infotainment system has been integrated into the brand’s smallest SUV.

2023 BMW X1 Engine & Performance

Similar to the outgoing model, the 2023 X1 houses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the new model boasts 241 horsepower, an increase of 13 hp more. AWD is standard this time with the X1, while it also sports a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The brand claims that the new powertrain allows the X1 to hit 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. BMW also says that the newly redesigned suspension improves handling and stability. Also, an optional M Sport package adds additional performance-enhancing features such as an adaptive suspension system and steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles. The M Sport package also adds aggressively bolstered seats, a unique steering wheel, and several racy-looking exterior tweaks.

Currently, there is only one trim to choose from, which also comes with all-wheel drive as standard; It’s also possible that a higher-performance M-badged variant could be in the works. The xDrive28i houses plenty of standard equipment, but we’d recommend adding the optional Convenience package, which includes a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, auto-dimming mirrors, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.
