Overview

The Chevy Colorado came into production in 2003. This vehicle initially introduced as a Compact pickup truck till 2011. Later it came as a Mid-size pickup truck to the market. The first generation of these vehicles used various engines like inline-four, inline-five, and V8 with various engine capacities. The 2010-2012 V8 produced a maximum of 300 hp at 5200 rpm and a torque of 320 lb-ft at 4000 rpm. The second generation of this vehicle had the inline-four and V6 engines with different capacities for different markets. They removed the V8 engines completely for the second generation. The Chevy Colorado enters into the third generation with the 2023 Chevy Colorado. This vehicle will have a new wider exterior design and an extensively upgraded interior. The vehicle will have a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four engine for all the trims but with different outputs produced for every trim. The 8-speed automatic transmission is used as standard for all the trims.

The base WT and LT trims will get a power output of 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque. The Z71 and Trail Boss trims get a power of 301 hp and 390 pound-feet of torque. The ZR2 gets a turbocharged engine with a power output of 310 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 430 foot-pounds of torque at 3000 rpm. Production of the new 2023 Chevy Colorado starts in the first half of 2023 at GM’s Wentzville, Missouri, assembly plant.
