What’s New In 2023 Honda Odyssey?
For 2023, a new mid-range Sport model joins the lineup wearing gloss black exterior accents, unique 19-inch wheels, black leather upholstery with red stitching, and red ambient lighting. However, the rest of the Odyssey lineup remains unchanged, but the company is now adding a complimentary scheduled maintenance plan for all 2023 models. This covers oil changes and other required dealership maintenance services for the first two years or 24,000 miles of ownership. The base LX trim has been thrown off from the herd.
2023 Honda Odyssey Engine & Performance
Fleet-friendly, efficient, and well-polished, the Odyssey is a darling that requires zero compromises and provides a lot of fun. The Odyssey’s steering changes direction crisply, and behind the wheel, it’s easy to forget you’re maneuvering a three-row van. The steering is accurate and the effort is minimal, but more engagement from the road would be appreciated. Driving enthusiasts won’t crave; it as it’s still a minivan, after all. But, hands-down no-brainer the Odyssey is the best-driving minivan, and its softness makes it competent in corners and easy to drive on narrow roads. On testing the Elite trim, its ride wasn’t as compliant as the Pacifica, but its standard 19-inch wheels could be the one to blame. While the EX-L with 18-inch wheels seems better suited to the paved Michigan roads for daily drive. Over most road surfaces, though, the Odyssey displays a comfortable ride, hence a few passengers will complain.

We would recommend going with the EX-L. The EX is offered well equipped, but the EX-L adds luxury features that families will love, such as leather seats, extra USB ports in the rear, and a power-operated rear liftgate. Hauling people and things to places near and far is its primary mission. Its second and third rows are the roomiest in the class, and its second-row seats are far more comfortable than the Pacifica’s.
