2023 Hyundai Verna debuted with a completely new revised look and technological upgrades to keep the sedan modern. Trim levels include EX, S, SX, SX(O), SX Turbo, and SX(O)-Turbo. The oval chrome element on the nose of the redesigned Verna was replaced with a horizon LED lamp design. In the center is the Hyundai logo. It gets a new front fascia as well as a tonne of technological upgrades. This is the facelifted version of the 6th generation model, which is currently available for pre-order. The new Verna gets a larger black grille, redesigned headlamps, and a set of new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It has impressive fuel economy for a non-hybrid vehicle. A spacious interior, comfortable seating, and an integrated 10.25-inch infotainment screen are all standard features.

The vehicle’s exterior has undergone significant changes, making it appear more futuristic and modern. It has a horizon LED positioning lamp, LED headlamps with cornering lamps, and an LED taillamp that is connected. All Except for the E trim, the S, SX, SX(O), SX Turbo, and SX(O)-Turbo ride on redesigned 15- and 16-inch wheels. The Turbo models have black alloy wheels with red brake callipers as standard, as well as a black interior with red accents. Hyundai has also introduced two new exterior colours for the Turbo models: fiery red with a black roof and Atlas white with a black roof. The interior has also undergone significant changes. This new Verna now has Level 2 ADAS, which is the best in the segment.
Engine & Performance
The Verna is powered by a standard 113-hp 1.5 Litre MPi Petrol four-cylinder engine mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or an intelligent variable transmission. The optional turbocharged 1.5 Litre Turbo GDi four-cylinder engine produces 157 horsepower and comes with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This Hyundai boasts innovative Level 2 ADAS technology, which puts the driver at ease while driving. The standard four-cylinder engine and FWD have predictable, if unremarkable, acceleration. The engine compartment is well-insulated and does not become louder when the gas pedal is pressed hard. The Turbo engine accelerates the Verna significantly. The Verna Turbo has all-wheel disc brakes and 16-inch wheels, making it more fun to drive on twisty roads. The 0-100 km/h time is now said to be 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 210+ km/h (expected).

Hyundai claims that the turbo petrol engine has the best mileage figures in the segment. According to Hyundai, the turbo-powered Verna returns 20 km/l with the manual gearbox and 20.6 km/l with the DCT.

The car also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and has type-c USB ports as well. Only optional trims of the 2023 Verna come with the Hyundai Smart Sense safety tech suite as standard. This includes Forward Collision Warning with pedestrian detection, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, lane departure warning, radar-based blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and high beam assist.

The Hyundai Verna 2023 will be offered in four trim levels: EX, S, SX, and SX (O). Only the SX and SX (O) trim levels will have the turbocharged engine. The entry-level EX trim is priced at Rs 10,89,900, followed by the S trim, which is priced at Rs 11.95 lakh. The SX trim with a naturally aspirated engine costs Rs 12,98,500 with a 6-speed manual transmission and Rs 14,23,500 with an iVT gearbox. However, with the turbo engine, this trim costs Rs 14,83,500 with the 6-speed manual transmission and Rs 16.08 lakh with the 7-speed DCT. With the 6-speed manual transmission, the top-spec SX (O) trim with the naturally aspirated engine costs Rs 14,65,900 lakh and with the DCT gearbox, it costs Rs 17,37,900.
