What’s New?
The new 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter comes with a major design and engine overhaul for a refreshed model for the year. Mercedes have made the powertrain options much easier for the new Sprinter with less clutter for 2023. The Sprinter will feature 168 or 208-hp diesel or 188-hp gasoline engines. The Van also offers an optional all-wheel-drive system similar to what you’ll find on the much more expensive E Class and S Class sedans. The power delivery is not 50-50 with front and rear ends.
Engine, Specifications, Performance & 0-60 mph
All Sprinter van variants are offered with three powertrain configurations for this year. Starting with a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 188 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The Mercedes Van also offers two turbocharged four-cylinder diesel-powered engines that make 168 hp and 208 lb-ft with 296 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. The turbo-six is not added to the lineup but comes paired with the same 9-speed automatic gearbox with a rear or optional all-wheel-drive system. The Sprinter can achieve a top speed of 99 mph and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 8.2 seconds. Considering the number of customization people will do on this car just surprised by how capable the specs are. The car split the torque from 50-50 per axle with the new AWD system onboard.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with both its petrol and diesel-powered engines delivers a decent fuel economy. While the gas-powered engine delivered a good 19 mpg of mileage, the diesel-powered engine delivers the best fuel economy.
