All Details & Specification Of 2023 Porsche 911
2023 Porsche 911 is likely the first render in one’s imagination if one closes their eyes and pictures a Porsche. This rear-engined fastback is a legend, and there’s a good reason for that. Not only a reason, make that many reasons. For decades it has been a benchmark for performance and handling and feels. Inspiring rivals such as the Aston Martin Vantage, the Audi R8, and the Maserati MC20. The “standard or base” 911 sticks to its roots with a set of twin-turbo flat-six engines which have been tuned for pumping out up to 473 horsepower. Higher-performance Turbo and GT3 models are available, this is Porsche, too; but they stand in other leagues. Most of the 911 models sport rear-wheel drive but all-wheel drive is available and optional. Offered in Coupe, cabriolet convertible, and Targa body styles, and the cabin they have is comfortable for two adults. That’s the 911.
What’s New?
Celebrating Porsche’s 70th year selling cars in North America, now the brand has added a range-topped American Edition GTS cabriolet to the 911 family. Only 100 units are earmarked for sale in the United States (with 15 more for Canada) and all will boast a seven-speed manual transmission, tri-finished wheels, Azure Blue 356 exterior paint, and special bodyside graphics. The black leather interior is complimented with red detailing throughout and illuminated door sill plates pay tribute to the brand’s North American history. This 911 will quickly run out from Porsche dealers, as the limited edition is likely to sell for $186,370.
Engine & Performance
Powering from the rear of the 911 is a twin-turbo 3.0-Liter flat-six-pot engine. The base Carrera makes 379 horsepower, the S pumps out 443-hp, and the GTS generates 473 horses. Every model comes with a ridiculously quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. And for engaging buyers, a sweet seven-speed manual is offered but one will have to shell out for an S or GTS for it. The coupe and cabriolet have rear-wheel drive, again as standard. But they can be equipped with all-wheel drive for all-season, high-performance driving. While the Targa is an all-wheel-drive only. No matter the road or condition, every 911 has mesmerizing acceleration, especially when the glee launch control is utilized.
During a test, the GTS model bolted to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds equipped with the eight-speed automatic. When the seven-speed manual is equipped, the 911 GTS delivered a 3.2-second result. Porsche’s optional sports exhaust system also enhances the thrill by providing a fuller rev note.
