2023 Volkswagen Arteon Specifications & Features
In many ways, the 2023 Volkswagen Arteon is unexpected. In an era when sedans are out of style, it’s a very great all-around family car. It has an Audi-like level of beauty inside and out. One of only five full-size popular sedans on the market, it is large. Its cabin is cosy and roomy, with attractive lines, appealing standard amenities, and lots of cargo space. It has an advantage over rivals like the Nissan Maxima thanks to an optional AWD configuration, and the Arteon’s svelte design provides it curb appeal that the new Toyota Crown can only dream of. The Arteon’s turbocharged four-cylinder engine has the verve to match the huge sedan’s temperament and comfortably compete with V6-powered rivals. Although though it is undoubtedly expensive the Arteon is the most expensive car in its class the price seems reasonable given its features.
What’s New?
The Volkswagen Arteon has undergone some changes this year, including the addition of heated steering wheels and LED headlights as standard features for the basic SE R-Line model and larger 20-inch wheels for SEL R-Line versions. Despite the VW Arteon’s obviously conservative design, the interior is well-appointed with high-quality materials. Despite this, VW managed to carve out plenty of interior space for the large five-door. Two 6-footers with large frames can travel forward without ever bumping into each other. Similar comfort and increased legroom are found in the back seats when compared to the previous, no longer produced VW Passat sedan.
Volkswagen Arteon Engine, Power, Acceleration & Performance
The Arteon’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The SEL and SEL Premium come standard with AWD, while the base SE variant is only available in FWD. The Arteon comes standard with 18-, 19-, or 20-inch rims, depending on the trim level. Standard adaptive suspension dampers can be directly set to Comfort, Normal, or Sport or will automatically adapt to your driving style. No matter the environment, the journey is controlled and pleasant. The Arteon is also quick, reaching 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and covering the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds at 103 mph during trials.

Although adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beams, and lane-keeping assistance are now also standard on the SE R-Line, we believe the SEL R-Line achieves the best balance between style and standard features. It has a classier interior than the base model, complete with a panoramic sunroof, cool ambient lighting, and genuine leather upholstery.

Conclusion
The Arteon has a sophisticated exterior, a roomy cabin, and above-average performance, but its best-in-class features come at a steep price. The most expensive in its class, front-drive variants with turbo engines that overpower the tyres, and models with poorly placed HVAC controls. Excellent exterior appeal, plenty of passenger and baggage space, and a powerful turbo-four.
