2024 Ford Mustang All Prices, Top Speed, Acceleration And Specification

2024 Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic and recognizable cars of all time. It kick-started the pony-car class in the mid-1960s and has been democratizing performance for generations of Americans ever since. But the future of its rivals, the Chevy Camaro and the Dodge Challenger are in doubt. The Mustang is set to receive all-new gen in the next few years; the seventh since the car debuted in 1964.

As Mustang prototypes have been spied testing, showing rakish bodywork and an athletic stance. Ford officials have also dropped hints about what’s coming for the next-gen car, and some of those “hints” have been confirmed. An all-new pony car will debut in September 2022. The American Muscle will continue with a range of internal-combustion engines, but don’t be surprised to see a hybrid or even electric version down the line.

What’s New?

Ford isn’t playing around when it comes to the Mustang’s design. From numerous prototype sightings and leaked images reveal a slightly larger grille for the GT model, dropping further into the lower fascia in a fashion similar to the current Mustang Shelby GT500. Corner vents look larger as well, and headlights adopt a thinner, clean look. On EcoBoost models, the grille is expected to remain the same but the lower fascia might have smaller vents. Also, prototypes have been sporting aggressive exhaust tips, upgraded brakes, and super-sticky tires. This confirms the availability of a GT performance package, and special edition trims like the California Special should arrive eventually.

Engine & Performance

As the Dodge Challenger is poised to lose its V8 for the next-gen, Mustang buyers can still get one. A late August Instagram teaser reinforced a V8 soundtrack. And later, a Ford executive straight-up confirmed that yes, the new Mustang will keep its V8 engine. This certainly means the 5.0-liter V8, would be tuned to produce a bit more than the 450-hp.

The former president of Unifor, a major Canadian trade union connected to the auto industry, said Ford would offer a new 6.8-liter V8 engine in “derivatives for the Mustang and F-150.” Keeping the V8s aside, the turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine is expected to carry over from the current model. Some rumors say Ford can offer a plug-in hybrid Mustang with all-wheel drive. Ford has also confirmed that the new Mustang will offer a six-speed manual transmission and an automatic.

Fuel Economy

Fuel Economy ratings haven’t been released yet by the EPA. But expect similar ratings, with the same engine setups and different for the new kids. We would update this when Ford or the EPA releases information regarding this.

These all are expected details, and if there would are any changes we would definitely update them. Also, don’t expect the new Mustang to differ significantly from the outgoing model. The wheelbase appears the same, as the pony car’s proportions. A long hood in front with a steeply racked fastback in the rear look extremely similar. The C-pillar on the new car seems thinner, leaving more room for larger side windows.

Pricing

Pricing information isn’t available yet for the seventh-gen Mustang. While the current model starts at $28,865 for an EcoBoost. The V8-powered GT starts at $39,440, also equipped with a six-speed stick. It would be safe to assume pricing for the 2024 Mustang will be higher. But also with the steady decline of Mustang sales in recent years, we’d be surprised if Ford launched the new model with a significantly higher MSRP.
