Unlike simply rebranding the Kia EV6 GT, the Ioniq 5 N will feature unique tuning by Hyundai’s N division to provide its own distinctive driving experience. On the other hand, the Kia EV6 carves its path in the electric vehicle market with its distinctive athletic design. It offers responsive handling, particularly for an SUV, making it enjoyable to drive on winding roads. The Ioniq 5 N’s dual-motor setup is expected to deliver an impressive output of approximately 600 horsepower. The EV6 offers two versions: one with rear-wheel drive and a single electric motor, and another with all-wheel drive and dual motors. All-wheel-drive models have a larger battery and 320 or 576 horsepower, while the base rear-wheel-drive model has a smaller battery and 167 horsepower. The 320-horsepower GT-Line achieved a 4.5-second 0-60 mph time, while the rear-wheel drive took 6.7 seconds. The 576-horsepower GT reached 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. The EV6 has two battery options: 58.0 kWh and 77.4 kWh, with the larger battery offering a longer range. The battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in under 18 minutes with a 350-kW fast charger.
Price & Features
While the top-spec GT of the EV6 is appealing, most EV buyers prioritize maximum driving range over performance. For those individuals, we suggest the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive Wind trim level. Not only does it offer all-weather traction at a more affordable price, but the dual motors also generate a combined 320 horsepower, surpassing the lower power output of the single motor. The EV6’s starting price is $50,025. Its infotainment system includes a 12.0-inch touchscreen integrated with the 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster. However, the menu structure and navigation design, and performance leave much to be desired.
