Range Rover Velar Engine, Power & Performance
In the world of Land Rover, the P250 base engine is a simple 247-hp turbo 2.0L four-cylinder, but it doesn’t quite handle the Velar’s weight convincingly. Going from 0 to 60 mph takes a leisurely 7.4 seconds. On the other hand, the P400 powerhouse, housing a robust 395-hp turbo 3.0L inline-six, steps up the acceleration game. Despite its not-so-sporty acceleration, the Velar’s handling is competent, maintaining control over body motions and minimizing roll for a firm yet well-managed ride.
