What’s New?
The new Mini Countryman JCW is part of the third-generation lineup, and guess what? It’s shed the “Cooper” from its name. The JCW now packs a tweaked engine, boasting 312 hp, 11 more than before. However, it sacrifices a bit of torque compared to the previous Countryman JCW. They’ve spiced up the looks both inside and out. If you’re in the U.S., production kicks off in March 2024, and you can expect deliveries to start rolling out in early May.
Mini Countryman JCW Engine, Power & Performance
The Countryman JCW runs on a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine, pumping out 312 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. It now uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic instead of the old eight-speed automatic, and you can shift gears when you want with paddle shifters behind the wheel. This JCW comes only in AWD, with JCW-specific suspension and flashy red brake calipers. Mini says it can hit 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 155 mph, but we hope it’s even better, considering the previous model did it in 4.4 seconds during tests.
Mini Countryman JCW Mileage
The 2025 Mini Countryman JCW fuel efficiency estimates aren’t out yet, but with the updated engine and chassis, it’s expected to beat the last model’s gas mileage. The 2024 Countryman JCW got around 24 miles per gallon in the city and 30 on the highway, according to the EPA.
