Ford has unveiled its 2023 Ford E-Transit Van that delivers up to 236 miles of range.
Overview
Ford teased its new electric commercial vehicle recently in April. It showed the LED light bar and made us think that it will be a Tourneo Custom electric van. But it is a Ford E-Transit Custom that will be placed below the much more expensive E-Transit.
The major change made to the E-Transit Custom, compared to its ICE-powered alternative is the front. The Transit Custom comes with a new grille with new LED headlights. It comes with “E” badging on the left side that resembles an EV and a charging port on the right side. The rear incorporates the fascia as the front, with similar headlights and graphics with an “E-Transit” and “Custom” badging.

Specs:- Performance, 0-60 MPH, Top Speed & Range
The new Ford E-Transit Custom would come with a 68-kWh battery and 181- or 265-horsepower electric motors that will deliver 316 pound-feet of torque. It could do 0-62 mph in less than seven seconds and can achieve a top speed of 85 mph. The E-Transit will offer a WLTP range of over 236 miles. The Ford E-Transit will also support DC fast charging technology of up to 115 kW.
The E-Transit will be packed with a SYNC 4 infotainment system and a 12-inch screen to echo the bigger EV. Just like the Ford F-150 Lightning, it will also be able to power external devices up to 2.3 kW.
The production of the Ford E-Transit will begin in 2023 at Ford’s Otosan facility in Kocaeli, Turkey. The same place where VW will build its next-gen Transporter.
