The all-new Mercedes-AMG One is finally here after five and a half years of waiting. A Mercedes-built car that has an F1-inspired design and performance.
Originally called Project One. The new supercar was meant to come out last year in 2021. But due to some technical delays, the launch was stopped until now.
The new Mercedes-AMG One uses the same 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine that Mercedes uses in Lewis Hamilton’s F1 race car.
We can hope that the technical difficulties were fitting that huge powerful engine designed for the F1 race cars, into a road-legal supercar.
Trying to fit this engine into a road car is a massive challenge. Because F1 cars don’t have to meet the road regulations for noise and emissions.
But surprisingly the German giant has managed to make it all possible.

Design of the Mercedes-AMG One
The design of the AMG One is influenced by Mercedes’ own Formula One race car. As it bleeds speed. The design consists of various aerodynamic elements starting from the front and going through the sidelines of the body. The roof that holds the aerodynamic fin and goes out from the rear with its huge spoiler which all helps the car to retain traction and low gravity.
The F1 influence goes on to the interior of the car with a Mercedes-designed rectangular steering wheel with buttons. And apart from that, the car is laced with Mercedes tech.

The car will be equipped with an 8.4 kWh battery and will have an electric-only range of 11.3 miles.
There will be just 275 examples of this AMG One that will be ever made. And surprise surprise! The car is already sold out.
