All Details & Specifications Of New 2023 Audi S6
2023 Audi S6 is the brand’s mid-size, mild A6-based sedan, but wakes up graciously from a zesty 444-hp twin-turbo V6 engine and sportier suspension. The dose of caffeine is big enough of an injection for the S6 to earn the label of “sports sedan.” Along with sports-sedan behavior, the S6 also offers a premium interior, which helps balance its conservative design. If the S6’s minimal, three-box sedan looks aren’t attractive enough for you, Audi offers a sleeker fastback S7 with identical mechanical bits. But it’ll cost you $10,000 more. When maneuvering on a curvy stretch of road in the S6 and it suddenly feels like a smaller car, with agile handling and effortless, beautifully modulated power. Competitors like the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and Mercedes-AMG E53 are both more aggressive and more fun.
What’s New?
The Executive package is also new and includes adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature, a power trunk lid, and LED interior lighting. Buyers can opt for the Audi Sport Stitching package, which puts red contrast stitching on black leather upholstery throughout the cabin. The mid-range Premium Plus model now comes standard with LED interior lighting, heated rear seats, additional driver-assistance features, and extended leather upholstery that covers the dashboard, armrests, and center console. The top-of-the-line Prestige model is now available with the Design Edition package, which adds unique 21-inch wheels, black exterior trim, and darkened chrome accents; the package also includes black microfiber-and-leather interior upholstery with red stitching.
Engine & Performance
As the last-gen S6 was powered by a solid 450-hp 4.0L V8, the 2023 model comes with an even more complex powertrain. The standard 2.9L V6 is twin-turbocharged and uses a 48-volt hybrid system powering an electric supercharger for additional boost. Combined, the system produces a whopping 444 horsepower. An eight-speed automatic and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system mating are standard. The brand claims the car can hit 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds but we think that number is traditional. The S7, the S6’s more-aggressive counterpart managed to hit 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds at our test track. On curvy roads, the S6 is a lovely partner to ride in. It diminishes its size and feels nimbler than it looks, especially with the optional rear-wheel-steering system.

Here the cost of running may disappoint you as this luxury gets you 18 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 22 mpg combined. Although a significant increase over its predecessor, all thanks to the hybrid powertrain.
