An enchanting design with an ultra-rich interior and powerful engine blended to make you lose your senses is a key definition of Bentley cars. And the iconic British brand did it with their newest work of art creation, the Bentley Mulliner Batur. A glorious piece of machinery with its magnificent looks and breathtaking silky-smooth performance. Bentley recently showed off their super-exclusive beauty at the Monterey Car Week yesterday. The all-new Batur will mark the company’s last fully capable, ICE-powered car before the brand goes fully electric.
Design
The all-new Bentley Mulliner Batur, as the name says is designed and will be made by the company’s luxury Mulliner division. The car’s gorgeous-looking design is a work of art done by a team led by Bentley’s new director of design Andreas Mindt. The car’s name is taken from Lake Batur which is situated at Kintamani, on the Island of Bali in Indonesia. Inspired by the beautiful scenery of the lake situated near an active volcano describes how the car looks from the front.
The Batur features an all-new design with a new grille at the front, touched with orange accents which speak about the car’s bold nature. Apart from the new grille, Bentley has placed their logo for the first tie from the tip of the bonnet, to the top of its grille and that shows how serious they are for the design. From the new grille design, the car also features new headlamps that look different from the traditional jewel design. The same goes for the rear where the new taillights are present with a hidden rear spoiler and give the car a more sleek look.
Engine Specifications & Performance
The new Bentley Batur may seem like a new car but it’s been built on the same platform as the Bentley Continental GT. The Batur also shares its mechanical tech and other things with the Continental GT. The car will offer a single powertrain option with only a Coupe body style. Under the hood lies a specially tuned 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine making over 729 hp and 737 lb-ft (1000 Nm) of torque. We expect the car will share the GT’s smooth 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission paired with a rear-steering all-wheel drive.
The car will offer a 48-volt hybrid system with an electric-based rear differential, and new 22-inch wheels with carbon ceramic brakes. The car will be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3.5 seconds and can achieve a top speed of over 208 mph. Judging by the GT’s performance, we expect the Batur will deliver a more pristine but silky-smooth performance.
Interior
The cabin is spacious and handcrafted with a touch of human hands to make it more prestigious and unique. The red and orange accents from the exterior also flow through the interior to show the car’s elegance. The dashboard is finished with wooden trims with three analog dials similar to the GT Speed. The seats are plushier and are stitched with rare materials. Being a super-exclusive car, Bentley Batur will offer an endless number of combinations and customization options.
Pricing
The all-new Bentley Mulliner will be a super-exclusive car designed and built by the company’s luxury Mulliner division. The Batur will be limited to only 18 models that are already sold out by the company. A rare car designed for a special kind of customer is what defines the exclusivity of a brand like Bentley. Especially if that work of art costs millions, yes the new Bentley Batur will cost over $2 Million. If you loved the car and your pockets deep enough then beg your dealer to sell you the car.
