Overview
The all new Toyota Yaris Cross is a compact crossover that fits just below C-HR in brand’s lineup. For adding more excitement, Toyota is launching a sporty GR version into the range viz. the Yaris Cross GR Sport. Pre-sales will start in the third quarter of this year, although no details regarding price are available.
The GR Sport version will offer some slight performance upgrades, whereas GR and GRMN models have more significant tuning. So, don’t underestimate this Yaris Cross. The only mechanical tweak is its revised suspension tuning. The Japanese market version has extra bracings in the center whereas nothing is mentioned about the European model.
The Yaris Cross GR Sport looks more bold and aggressive with the gloss black mesh in the grille. The Ash Grey color is available with the contrasting black roof and pillars, and the car rides on a 10-spoke 18-inch wheels with a mechanical finish.
As the interior of Cross GR Sport is concerned, a black Ultrasuede with red stitching is present which gives a sporty look to the cabin. Gunmetal silver is on the doors and instrument panel. GR logo is present on the floor mats, headrests, steering wheel and starter button. Other interior functions are dual-zone climate control, headed front seats, and a 9-inch screen with navigation.
A 1.5L three-cylinder engine with hybrid assistance is fixed that produces 116 hp, same as that of other Yaris Cross lineup. The Yaris Cross made debut in 2020 and went on a sale in 2021 summer in Europe. Adventure grade was the next one in the lineup.
