For a major carmaker, bringing a new model to a particular region is a very important step. The Nissan Rogue which came to the US in 2020, took almost two years before its X-Trail counterpart made its debut in Japan. Now, it’s time for Europe to get the 2023 Nissan X-Trail, a 3-rowed mid-size SUV.
About
The 2023 Nissan X-Trail comes with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with electric motors making 201 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. The engine is there to power the motors and charge them instead of powering the wheel directly. Paired with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. The X-Trail can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 8.0 seconds with 106 mph and 116 mph of top speed varying on its single or dual electric motors.
Nissan will also offer Europe specced AWD model with up to 210 horsepower and a 0-60 mpg run in under 7.2 seconds with its five-seater model. The single motor variant will offer a top speed of 106 mph while the dual motor will offer over 116 mph respectively. The 2023 Nissan X-Trail shares the familiarity with the Rogue with its 60:40-split seats, and 160 cm passenger height. It also provides easier access to the third row and offered a cargo capacity of over 20.6 cubic feet (585 liters).
More
Nissan will also offer a less complicated version with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with mild hybrid tech making over 161 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive system onboard. The X-Trail will also offer a variable compression ratio that will send its power to the wheels’ old-fashioned way.
Rest, the 2023 Nissan X-Trail offers similar features and interior design as the Nissan Rogue with a big 12.3 instrument cluster and infotainment screen. The X-Trail will be offered in 10 different color options along with five two-tone shades for the buyers. The 2023 X-Trail is up for pre-orders in Europe and will be offered in four trim levels starting with a price of around $38,000.
