Toyota is working on the Glanza CNG which is expected to launch soon. The automaker has confirmed that it is working on the CNG version of the Glanza scheduled to launch in India. The upcoming Toyota Glanza will rival the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and Tata Altroz with their CNG models.

The upcoming Toyota Glanza will feature the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine that will make 77 hp. The power output is decreased from 90 hp with the CNG-powered engine. Toyota promises a great fuel efficiency of 25 kmpl with its upcoming CNG model. The GLanza CNG will be available with only a manual transmission option instead of AMT. The Glanza CNG will be available in four trims that include G, S and V trims and skipping the E trim. The top-of-the-t-line V trim will offer features like a bigger 9.0-inch infotainment display, heads-up display, connected car features and 6 airbags.

The Toyota Glanza CNG will cost more than the petrol versions with a price bump of over Rs. 75,000. The Glanza CNG faces no competition for now as no carmaker will offer a CNG model with its premium hatchback. Maruti Suzuki is also planning for a future option for its Beleno which will likely come next year.
