MG Readies New Hybrid SUV
JSW MG Motor India will unveil its first plug-in hybrid SUV on July 16, expanding its growing lineup of electrified vehicles.
The new three-row SUV is expected to be based on the Wuling Starlight 560, offering spacious seating for up to seven passengers.
Its plug-in hybrid system may pair a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, producing around 195 horsepower combined.
The SUV could deliver up to 125 km of electric-only driving and a total range exceeding 1,000 km on a full charge.
Expected premium features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, large touchscreen, ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.
With bold styling and modern technology, MG aims to challenge popular SUVs like the Mahindra XUV 7XO and Tata Safari.
The launch highlights MG’s focus on greener mobility, offering buyers an efficient bridge between petrol and fully electric vehicles.
